Krantisinha Nana Ramchandra Patil, who formed his own government and established a self-governing government, is glorified like a burning torch during the period of independent struggle. Such Krantisinha Nana Patil was born in Valva taluka of Sangli district.
He was born on August 3, 1900 in the village of Yedemachhindra. The same miraculous and legendary personality was beginning to emerge during the independent struggle movement. Assuming the ideal leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, he started his journey towards Gandhianism.
In the field of social work, he cherished the legacy of Mahatma Phule and Rajshri Shahu Maharaj. With his inner leadership qualities and excellent rhetorical skills, he blew the trumpet of the movement. But in that post-independence period, their path was simply neglected.
Mahatma Phule’s work began to emerge from the truth-seeking movement and it flourished day by day. Carrying the dream of a hardworking peasant kingdom, Krantisinha became a beloved leader who formed an anti-government ” village kingdom ” and an army to protect them.
His counter-government implemented various social initiatives in the state such as ban on child marriage, dowry ban, literacy, debt and de-addiction, citizen and widow marriage.
His political journey also started in this, in which he was limited to Navjivan Sanghatana, Kisan Paksha to Communist Party. But their social work was continuous.
This is how the great Krantisinha passed away on December 6, 1976 . We should pay tribute to their work for freedom and for the society.
