Commemoration of Sir Mohammad Iqbal, the poet who composed this patriotic song and later demanded an independent nation of Pakistan. He was born in Sialkot.
Muhammad had a special study of Urdu and Persian. He had a degree in Vidya Vachaspati in the field of philosophy. Sir Muhammad is known as a barrister, professor, poet, fluent in English, German, Urdu and Fasi. ‘Iqbal’ is his nickname for poetry.
English translation of his Persian volumes ‘Asar Khurdi’, ‘Rumuje Bekhudi’ Prof. Nicholson has done. It was because of these texts that he was given the book ‘Sir’. They gained world fame only because of the English versions of these two books!
He wrote ‘Payame Mashrik’, ‘Javednama’ and ‘Bale Jibail’ and ‘Jai Kalim’. Iqbal demanded an independent Pakistan,
